The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have ended the arrangement of Black Stars Coach Charles Akonnor and his two Assistants with quick impact.
This follows the receipt of the Technical Report from the Head Coach of the Senior National Team and the report from the Black Stars Management Committee following Ghana’s Group G World Cup qualifying matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
The Executive Council subsequent to considering the two reports have chosen to end its relationship with the Head Coach C. K Akonnor and the two Assistants.
The Executive Council has shaped a three Member Committee comprised of Vice President Mark Addo, Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Zida and Dr. Randy Abbey to discover a Head Coach and Assistant Coaches for the Black Stars inside the following 72 hours.
Ghana at present have three focuses after the two opening two rounds of the World Cup qualifiers.
Akonnor, who was named in January 2020, assumed liability for 10 games for the Black Stars dominating only four matches.
In his multi month stay, he figured out how to qualify the Black Stars to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which will occur in Cameroon one year from now.
The Black Stars will take on Zimbabwe in the following round of games in October 2021.
